Our Firm
We specialize in the design of homes, custom luxury and estate residences, makeovers and additions.

     Don established CV Designs Ltd., his first full time production design company in Winston-Salem, NC in the early 1980’s.  The firm of Don Ruth & Associates, Inc. was created in 1990 and evolved into the current practice after moving to Lake Norman in 1996

    Our designs are principally based on AutoCAD technology.  We have chosen to avoid the potential pitfalls of computer generated assemblies, electing to produce working drawings piece by piece, in two dimensional form to maintain accuracy. The structural design for our plans is prepared by a registered engineer.

    Don has numerous years experience in the design of award winning homes and was selected the National 1996 AIBD Designer of the Year for his contributions to the profession.  He is NCBDC certified and was among the first designers in the 1980’s to apply CADD technology to home design.

  

     Perspective (3D) interior and exterior drawings, renderings and models are created upon request.
